Blue Suits for Men

The French Emperor, Louis XIV, was the first monarch to prescribe an official dress code for the nobles at his court. Typically, this included coats, vests and breeches – usually made of royal blue and white. Today, this has evolved into the modern royal blue suit.

Men’s Suits – The Sky Blue Suit

By Kery Jems at 2013-04-08 06:22:47
The sky blue suit for men is a pretty good alternative to the usually conventional colours of black, navy blue and grey. When fitted well i.e. like a bespoke suit, the sky blue suit can be worn to the workplace thereby enlivening things. It will present an authoritative and distinctive look, without the accompanying dullness that can descend when every second man is wearing either a black or a navy blue colour.

Men who wear sky blue suits for men demonstrate their confidence in themselves, by willing to wear a different colour than most office goers. Hence, they show that they are confident of carrying out any assignment – including closing business deals – by their ability and confidence.

When making sky blue suits, the fabric is an important factor to consider. While the all-time favourite fabric remains worsted wool (as it can be worn all through the year), other woollen fabrics like gabardine or mid-weight corded wools can be good choices too. Opt for woollen yarns like Super 100 – instead of the lower end varieties like Super 60-80 – as these yarns are stronger and have a softer and smoother feel. Such yarns, while being more expensive, also tend to wrinkle less. Flannel is another popular material that can be used for making sky blue suits.

The sky blue suit is a colour that will enhance your appearance regardless of whether it is day or night. Being a colour that fits in well at any time of the day – it will look cool during the day and distinctive during the night – it is also acceptable for wearing in summer and winter.

While sky blue suits will not be a staple wear at the workplace, for a change, it can be very useful. Not only will it reflect your confidence levels, professionalism and authority, it will also provide a good contrast to the numerous men who wear black or navy blue suits.

Blue definitely is a color of confidence and reflects strong self-esteem in a person. It is an elegant and prestigious color that is delightful to look at. It really does look cool in daylight and distinctive in the night. I also happen to be a fashion designer where I design leather jackets for cosplay such as the smallville red leather jacket - customize jackets etc. I must say, this was a well-written and highly informative article for a fashion geek like me!
